Nucleus
The nucleus is the 'control centre' of the whole cell. It is responsible for sending out 'chemical messages' to all the parts of the cell, to control the cell's activity. This organelle also contains genetic material, known as chromosomes. It is surrounded by a liquid called cytoplasm.
